Maturity Progression
CMMI V3.0Managed
A successful Benchmark Appraisal results in a maturity level rating published on ISACA PARS, valid for three years.
What is CMMI Certification?
Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a globally recognised process improvement framework that helps organisations raise the quality, predictability and capability of their delivery. It is owned and maintained by ISACA, through the CMMI Institute.
CMMI is not an ISO certification. Instead, an organisation is evaluated through a formal Benchmark Appraisal, and a successful appraisal results in a maturity level rating, for example Maturity Level 3, rather than a certificate. The current model is CMMI V3.0.
Appraisals are led by ISACA-certified Lead Appraisers, and the resulting rating is published on the ISACA Published Appraisal Results System (PARS), where it remains valid for three years.
At a glance
Not the same as ISO
