Maturity Progression
CMMI V3.0Managed
A successful Benchmark Appraisal results in a maturity level rating published on ISACA PARS, valid for three years.
What is ISO 27001 Certification?
ISO 27001 Certification is a globally recognised process improvement framework that helps organisations raise the quality, predictability and capability of their delivery. It is owned and maintained by ISACA, through the ISO 27001 Certification Institute.
ISO 27001 Certification Certification is not an ISO certification. Instead, an organisation is evaluated through a formal Benchmark Appraisal, and a successful appraisal results in a maturity level rating, for example Maturity Level 3, rather than a certificate. The current model is ISO 27001 Certification.
Appraisals are led by ISACA-certified Lead Appraisers, and the resulting rating is published on the ISACA Published Appraisal Results System (PARS), where it remains valid for three years.
At a glance
Not the same as ISO
ISO 27001 Certification is appraised, not certified. There is no certificate. The deliverable is a published maturity rating.

Defined
